'Mother' Memorable Novel by Maxim Gorky. Relevancy and Impact in today's World.
MOTHER The most famous, influencing anti Elite class novel “Mother” which helped crumbled the mighty empires of Europe, was one of the most awe-inspiring Novels of world written by Maxim Gorky in 1906 about the deteriorating plight of revolutionary factory workers in Russia. In my opinion the author portrayed the worst socio-economic plight of oppressed people not only in Russia but also the entire world subjugated by Imperialist Powers. This Novel was written before the World War 1. The prevailing system could not resolve the problems of people as a whole rather increasing poverty in the country. Like today wealthy people were becoming wealthier at the cost of poor people. In Russia people were seeking a new pro people system to resolve their socio-economic conditions. Maxim Gorky in his memorable Novel book depicts miserable pathetic conditions of the poverty ridden peasantry of Russia during the imperialist days of Tzarism.
